Well this week has been a busy week for Tripping Lily. We just found out that we will be heading down to Memphis this February to perform in an official showcase at FOLK ALLIANCE…It will be great to get down south again since Nashville was home to us for so many years….
It looks like we will be heading back down to New Jersey in Jan…We will be supporting Lucy Kaplansky on Jan 8th at Outpost in the Burbs….So anyone in the TriState area come on out…..We are excited to head back down to New Jersey….
In other news don’t forget that on Dec 18th, Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tripping Lily will be performing an intimate holiday show at the Jailhouse Tavern in Orleans, MA. We always like to perform a show during the holiday season. We have 2 special guests that will open the show Meghan Trainor and Allie Jason.. Tickets will be available at the door. Other December happenings we will be at the Jailhouse on Dec 13th at 7pm to help support the NOAH Shelter…also Dec 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the WHAT Theater we will be part of a benefit concert for YUEL for FUEL….
In closing, we attended a CD Release of a Christmas Compilation CD we were part of called a Christmas Miracle CD. It was great to be part of this CD and was amazed that the CD was put together in one weekend. Cat Wilson of The Cheap Seats and Mark Bryant of SeaSound Recording had a vision to put together this CD (Mastered by Chris Blood). Tripping Lily recorded a Mindy Smith cover, “Santa Will Find You” live around a few mics.

Hello Lily-ites,
We headed down to the Catskills in November to attend NERFA…It was our second time at this great conference yet this year we had the opportunity of performing a Tricentric Showcase…The showcase went great and we met so many great people. We had the joy of sharing an exhibit table with Matt and Shannon Heaton it was great our table attracted many visitors because of our lure with the famous Cappuccino drink made by Matt… It really was a great time….
On Sunday we headed up to New Hampshire where we supported Jake Shimabukuro the ukulele player from Hawaii. That was truly a great time…..During our set we had a listener who requested we perform California and though we didn’t have enough time we promised them we would perform it after the show just for them…So here is a video of Tripping Lily performing California with Jake Shimabukuro.. Enjoy the video we’ll stay up to date with more things from us…..

Day 1 of our Tour:
Hey guys! It’s currently 2am and our first day on tour is coming to a close. It’s been a long one and I can’t tell you how comfortable our couch bed looks. This evening’s show was at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC and it went wonderfully! The place was packed out and had such a fun vibe. After saying goodbye to the New York City lights, we made our way to NJ to hang with our friends at 49 Maple where we shared tea and music. The lights are dimming, and the music’s winding down, so I’m going to say goodbye for now, but I’ll be back tomorrow. Sleep well!
